We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Services Department Manager to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff at a single site, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to ensure that all staff are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate and ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of project and program work done in the building on varying shifts.
- Conduct regular tours of the building to assess work quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff to ensure that all directives are carried out efficiently.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two years' experience in Environmental Services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision desired.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
