Job Opportunity

Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to provide high-quality speech and language pathology services. The ideal candidate will evaluate patient needs and implement effective treatment plans to restore and enhance communication skills. This role involves attending unit rounds, discharge planning, and in-service training, as well as supervising and assisting students and graduate Speech Pathologists.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure to provide Speech/Language Pathology services in West Virginia.

Physical Demands:

  • May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with patients, family members, and personnel under all circumstances.
  • May need to lift or assist patients, especially those requiring support up to 250 lbs or more.
  • Must possess sight, hearing, and speech senses with/without prosthetic devices to perform assessment and treatment programs.
  • Must be able to cope with frequent interruptions and schedule changes.
  • Must be able to speak and write English in an understandable manner.
