Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Diverse Learner Case Manager

Regeneration Schools is seeking a highly motivated and organized Special Education Teacher - Diverse Learner Case Manager to join our team. This role plays a critical part in building a rigorous education for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and collaborating with families to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet student needs and comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Specialized Services Team to ensure effective implementation of IEPs and provide support to students and families.
  • Chair and coordinate all FIEs/IEPs/BIPs/504s, ensuring parents and students receive all necessary paperwork and understand the process.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation of all IEP services, accommodations, and progress monitoring.
  • Oversee the special education referral process, including collaborating with the School Principal to ensure MTSS implementation and documentation.
  • Ensure all IEPs are relevant, measurable, rigorous, and compliant with federal and state law.
  • Ensure transition plans are complete and 8th-grade students and families are aware of excellent high school options.
  • Manage Special Education files and attend CPS and ReGeneration Special Education meetings.
Requirements:
  • Valid LBS1 Special Education Teacher Certification required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • 2-5 years of teaching experience in an urban setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and school staff.
