Electronics Solderer Job Description

Spherion is seeking a skilled Electronics Solderer to join our team in a manufacturing role. As an Electronics Solderer, you will play a crucial part in the production process, ensuring the reliability and precision of electronic components used in aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform soldering and brazing operations on electronic components according to industry standards and specifications.
  • Inspect solder joints for quality and consistency, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
  • Current or expired J-STD 001 soldering certification.
  • Experience with IPC-A 610 standard for acceptability of electronic assemblies.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in soldering and/or brazing, preferably in the aerospace or related industry.
  • Proficiency in using soldering irons, solder wire, flux, and other related equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
