Senior Design Engineer - Refrigeration Expert

Are you a seasoned design engineer with a passion for innovation and excellence in refrigeration technology? We're seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Refrigeration Structures Team at the Monogram Refrigeration Plant in Selmer, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of structural subsystem components for Monogram refrigeration products, driving the creation of high-quality, reliable, and efficient refrigeration solutions.
  • Conduct thorough failure analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve technical issues, documenting and tracking resolutions using GEA's FRACAS system for continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, design for manufacturing, product approval testing (including UL, toxicity, and RoHS compliance), and accelerated time-to-market.
  • Conduct and support comprehensive program and design reviews in alignment with the latest iNPI/C-change requirements, ensuring all projects meet rigorous standards and timelines.
  • Prioritize and escalate issues using risk assessment tools to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in design engineering, particularly within the refrigeration industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Expertise in quality craftsmanship and design for manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with product approval testing standards, including UL, toxicity, and RoHS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using risk assessment tools and methodologies.
