Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Specialist to join our team in Newburyport, MA. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $43.00 - $48.00 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and repair electrical and mechanical defects, ensuring efficient equipment operation through proper line control programming.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete assigned Preventative Maintenance Plans as scheduled, eliminating unplanned downtime.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis on equipment and process failures to provide insight into failure and suggest corrective actions.
  • Train operators on maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Document all maintenance work activity within the CMMS system, adhering to quality systems and regulatory requirements such as SQF, HACCP, and GMP.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment maps and catalogs, including manuals, prints, PLC programs, HMI programs, network addressing, and OEM drawings.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience or a two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Rockwell/OMRON PLC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Must have a Forklift License or be able to complete required training within 90 days of hire.
  • Good verbal, written communication, and mathematical skills required.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
