Key Responsibilities:
In your role as a Navy Pharmacist, you will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting drug-use evaluations
  • Managing unit dose distribution

Navy Pharmacists are stationed at over 250 facilities both domestically and internationally, including various locations across the globe.

Candidates for the Pharmacist position are required to complete Officer Development School (ODS), a rigorous five-week program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel as a Navy Officer.

Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for a Pharmacist position in the Navy Medical Service Corps, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
  • Active pharmacist registration in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia
  • Commitment to a minimum of three years of Active Duty service
  • Aged between 18 and 41
  • Good physical health and successful completion of a medical examination

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications may include:

  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Relevant work experience of two to three years

Reserve Opportunities:
As a Reserve Pharmacist, you will fulfill your duties during scheduled training periods, allowing you to maintain your civilian practice while gaining valuable military experience.
