We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instrument counts throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons in providing hemostasis during surgery.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- Scrub tech with completed accredited scrub tech program and/or 2 years of experience preferred.
