Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Resource Data. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing advanced network infrastructures for our diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysis, configuration, design, implementation, and testing of complex network solutions for client systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
  • Utilize deep technical knowledge in routing, switching, and various networking protocols
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in networking, including extensive experience with firewalls, load balancers, and a range of networking vendors (beyond Cisco)
  • Address and resolve advanced network issues, such as spanning tree problems, and optimize routing strategies
  • Engage in hands-on tasks including installation and maintenance of networking hardware, such as firewalls, load balancers, and cabling in diverse environments like client data centers or server rooms
  • Effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical users - both internal and customer teams
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in dedicated networking role with a strong focus on networking protocols
  • Experience in technical writing and network diagramming
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as working in cable rooms, handling equipment in racks, and conducting installations
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to different locations for on-site work and support
  • Demonstrated success in building trust and rapport with clients
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working directly with customers in a consulting role
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or similar
