Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $35 to $45, offering competitive compensation. Additionally, the package includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as weekly pay every Friday.

About the Role

This position demands a deep understanding of special education principles and the ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for adapting instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of their students.

  • Develop IEPs: Crafting customized plans that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Adapt Instruction: Tailoring teaching methods to suit the diverse learning styles of students.
  • Manage Classroom Environment: Establishing a supportive learning environment through effective behavioral strategies.
  • Collaborate with General Education Teachers: Working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions between classes.
  • Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Regularly evaluating student progress through assessments and observations.
  • Support Transitions: Preparing students for smooth transitions between grades or into adulthood.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offering guidance and encouragement to help students develop coping skills.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

  • MI Special Education Teacher certification.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education.
  • A willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
