About the Role
BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.
As a Medical Support Specialist at our plasma center, you will be responsible for ensuring that donors meet eligibility requirements and are properly managed throughout the donation process. You will also provide support to center staff in maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing laboratory test results
Evaluate donor reactions and respond accordingly, following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/ER as necessary
Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, with a recognized educational nursing program
Current licensure or certification as an EMT-Paramedic in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
