Job Summary

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Seasonal CRT/RRT. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision.
  • Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans to meet individual patient needs.
  • Conduct various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital, including emergency response and airway management.
  • Operate ventilators, deliver aerosolized drugs, and perform other respiratory therapy procedures as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • RT or RCP License in the state of employment required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • RRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in respiratory care preferred.
Work Schedule and Type

Full-time, 12-week contract. Work schedule to be determined.
