The successful candidate will assist the physician with obtaining images during Transesophageal Echos, demonstrating sound knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic echocardiography techniques. Prioritizing and organizing patient flow to ensure optimal utilization of time is essential. The ideal candidate will function with initiative and sound judgment to provide quality services, adhering to effective safety practices. Establishing and maintaining a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and Medical Staff is crucial.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images in three modes: M mode, color flow Doppler, and two-dimensional mode.
- Assist the physician with obtaining images during Transesophageal Echos.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic echocardiography techniques.
- Prioritize and organize patient flow to ensure optimal utilization of time.
- Function with initiative and sound judgment to provide quality services.
- Adhere to effective safety practices.
- Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and Medical Staff.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Graduate from an accredited Echocardiography school required.
- RDCS or RCS certification required within 12 months of hire.
- Experience preferred, but not required.
