EHS Specialist

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at American Packaging Corporation. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

• Monitor manufacturing environment and processes to identify and mitigate risks and hazards
• Implement procedures and practices to ensure safe work conditions and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist in the creation, communication, and enforcement of standards and practices for handling hazardous materials
• Conduct research and assessment of the proper use, selection, and limitations of major safeguarding devices and personal protective equipment
• Provide support to plant manager or site leader in addressing EHS-related issues
• Maintain necessary documentation for internal or governmental regulations and standards
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
• Coordinate emergency-management activities for the site, including conducting routine emergency drill exercises
• Implement education and training programs for good health and safety practices

• 1-3 years of experience in a related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field preferred
• General working knowledge of regulatory safety and environmental standards
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
