Job Title: Foreman

Compensation: $25-$38

HHS Construction, LLC., a Congruex Company, is seeking a Foreman to oversee the installation of duct and vault systems in Idaho for private and public customers. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in underground dry utilities and be able to operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and excavators. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily activities, inspecting work sites for potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and OSHA safety policies.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of duct and vault systems.
  2. Manage daily activities of 1 to 2 crews.
  3. Utilize heavy equipment and trucking to excavate, install, and complete projects.
  4. Continually inspect work sites for potential hazards or safety concerns.
  5. Responsible for safe work environments and comply with state, federal, OSHA and HHS safety policies.
  6. Review and approve employee time sheets.
  7. Travel to and from job sites.
  8. Take-off of materials, aggregates, and project requirements.
  9. Coordinate with Equipment Manager and Purchasing Manager.
  10. Schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
  11. Communicate with local officials, company management/staff, customers, and others.
  12. Scheduling crews and jobs.
  13. Sending out print to Customers.
  14. Collecting Job packages for billing.
  15. Preconstruction meetings with Cities and following standards.
  16. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, standards, and safety rules.
  17. May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Valid Driver's License.
  3. 3-5 years of experience in underground dry utilities.
  4. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with ease, including changes to schedule and workflow priorities.
  5. Read and understand blueprints and project specifications with project superintendent to plan construction sequencing.
  6. Operate backhoes, loaders, excavators, asphalt rollers, and other heavy equipment with both CAT and DEERE controls.
  7. Experience digging underground utilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  1. Work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
  2. Lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds.
  3. Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
  4. Safely operate company vehicles or workaround heavy equipment and machinery.
  5. Stand or walk for long periods of time.
  6. Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl while performing work.
  7. Ascend and descend ladders.
  8. Work in small/confined areas.
  9. Work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, a hardhat, and any applicable safety gear.
