We are seeking a highly skilled Golf Course Superintendent to join our team at BrightView Landscape Services. As a Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and management of a golf course.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Operations: Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance of all areas within the golf course, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and annual budgets.
- Customer Partnership: Collaborate with customers to develop and implement long-term property improvement plans, understanding their needs and expectations.
- Equipment Management: Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage annual budget estimates, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Agronomic Planning: Develop and implement an annual agronomic plan, aligning with technical specifications and budget constraints.
- Supply Chain Management: Procure and manage supplies and materials to support maintenance activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Reporting and Communication: Create and distribute reports on maintenance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Employee Management: Supervise and manage golf course employees, including recruitment, training, discipline, and separation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure awareness and compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and course rules.
- Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative tasks, including managing the BrightView Safety Program and the BrightView BV360 Management Program.
- Representation: Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a professional and positive manner, adhering to company standards and expectations.
- Customer Relations: Maintain effective employee and public relations, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Experience: Proven experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance practices employed on golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
- Education: Degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science, with high administrative and executive ability.
- Certifications: Certified and/or licensed for pesticide usage, with a valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with Fertilizers and Irrigation: Knowledge of fertilizers and soil conditioners, as well as irrigation systems, pumps, wells, and automatic controls.
- Course Preparation: Ability to prepare the course for play in accordance with the rules of golf, evaluating the course from the player's perspective.
