About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer - Vice President to join our team at GreenState Credit Union. As a key member of our mortgage lending department, you will be responsible for creating, collecting, analyzing, and exercising judgment to advise members on mortgage loan options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively seek new business and build a pipeline of potential loan opportunities.
  • Maintain organization of portfolio and meet necessary and regulatory deadlines.
  • Work with underwriters to meet their guidelines and obtain loan approval.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is in the loan files, including regulatory compliance items.
  • Make regular outside sales calls to prospective members and referral sources to build relationships and generate future loan prospects.
  • Work with the mortgage processing department to ensure final documentation is received by investors in a timely manner.
  • Assist in ensuring that various federal reporting documents are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Coach, train, and mentor Mortgage Loan Sales Associates.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with five years of previous mortgage experience.
  • Knowledge of procedures, forms, secondary market guidelines, and regulations as they relate to mortgage lending.
  • Knowledge and procedures of real estate purchasing and refinancing.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accomplish workload.
  • Ability to network in the community to build potential member base and referral sources.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently to handle large volumes of details.
  • Interpersonal skills to represent the credit union in a positive way during member contact.
  • Excellent figure aptitude and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with members and coworkers on a professional level.
  • Must be bondable and registered pursuant to requirements of the S.A.F.E. Act.
