Position: Senior Building Automation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Programming: Oversee the design and programming of Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, integrating sophisticated control algorithms, sequences, and visual interfaces.
  • Develop creative solutions tailored to meet unique client specifications and project demands.
  • Project Leadership: Direct DDC projects, encompassing system design, project scheduling, and collaboration with management and clients.
  • Guide and mentor junior programmers and engineering personnel.
  • Commissioning and Quality Assurance: Manage system commissioning and testing to confirm operational integrity and compliance with design specifications.
  • Establish quality assurance protocols to ensure peak system performance.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve intricate technical challenges associated with DDC systems.
  • Formulate and apply advanced troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Produce comprehensive documentation, including system schematics and user guides, for client reference and maintenance.
  • Communicate progress and documentation updates to stakeholders.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage closely with clients to ascertain project requirements and deliver technical assistance.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and promptly address any concerns.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Energy Efficiency: Guarantee that DDC systems adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance DDC systems for energy efficiency.
  • Continual Learning and Innovation: Keep abreast of industry advancements and suggest innovative approaches for DDC control systems.
  • Investigate new solutions to improve DDC programming and control methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role with progressively increasing responsibilities.

Additional Qualifications:

  • In-depth experience with DDC systems, including hardware and software, along with advanced programming capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading DDC projects and managing teams effectively.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex situations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management expertise.
  • Familiarity with energy management and sustainability principles is advantageous.
