Job Overview

The Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing surgical equipment, assisting surgeons during procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires certification as a Surgical Technician, BLS certification, and experience in the field, with on-call duties for nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Prepare surgical equipment and supplies
  • Assist surgeons during procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program
  • Successful completion of Periop101 during CHA orientation
  • American Heart Association BLS certification and Certified Surgical Technician certifications
  • Minimum 2 years current surgical technologist experience preferred
