Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Psychology courses at Lee College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Teach freshman and sophomore-level Psychology courses, utilizing a variety of instructional methods to engage students and promote learning.
    • Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with college standards and curriculum requirements.
  • Student Support and Advising
    • Provide academic advising and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their academic and career goals.
    • Hold regular office hours to meet with students, answer questions, and provide support.
  • Course Management and Administration
    • Manage course schedules, assignments, and assessments, ensuring timely completion and submission of student work.
    • Maintain accurate student records, including grades and attendance.
  • Professional Development and Collaboration
    • Participate in faculty development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning, and improve instructional methods.
Requirements
  • Education
    • A Master's degree in Psychology or a related field is required.
    • A Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Psychology or a related field may be considered.
  • Experience
    • Prior teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting, is highly desirable.
    • Experience with online teaching and learning management systems is a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
