The anticipated salary range for this position is between $152,100 and $169,000, contingent upon experience, along with a thorough benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.


PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing the activities related to the creation and execution of operations training programs at the site.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Directs and supervises the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs aimed at enhancing plant and personnel performance, in alignment with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities encompass initial licensing training, reactor operator training, senior reactor operator training, non-licensed operator training, shift manager training, shift technical advisor training, and simulator performance.
  • Manages post-training evaluations to assess the impact on personnel and plant performance, identifying areas within the training programs that require enhancement. Systematic improvements and corrective measures are initiated, tracked, analyzed, and resolved.
  • Supports station and fleet initiatives in business planning, project management, refueling outage assistance, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
  • Anticipates long-term training requirements within the designated functional area and formulates strategies and plans to address those needs.
  • Ensures that training facilities, equipment, materials, records, and personnel qualifications are aligned with the goals of the training programs.
  • Engages in audits and assessments conducted by regulatory bodies and management, providing responses to audit findings.
  • Coordinates the allocation of training responsibilities among plant management, external agencies, contractors, and the training department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or in education/training.
  • Compliance with ANSI standards as per site technical specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of a current or previous senior reactor operator license or certification, with a minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years of professional supervisory or management experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the implementation of training programs.
  • Experience with INPO accreditation or evaluation teams, benchmarking, and peer assessment teams.
  • Familiarity with and experience in the systematic approach to training (SAT).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in a technical field or in education/training.
  • Over 5 years of professional supervisory or management experience in training program implementation.
  • More than 4 years of instructional experience.
  • Significant experience in leading teams across various organizations to achieve diverse objectives.
