Heavy Duty Waste Collector

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Duty Waste Collector to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a Commercial Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a front-end truck, collecting solid waste, and transporting it to designated facilities.

This is a full-time position that requires a valid CDL Class A or B license, as well as one year of commercial driving experience. You must be able to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Operate a front-end truck to collect solid waste from residential and commercial areas.
• Transport collected waste to designated facilities, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company safety standards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the vehicle, completing and submitting reports as required.
• Courteously interact with customers and respond to their inquiries in a professional manner.

• Valid CDL Class A or B license.
• One year of commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively, using proper lifting techniques.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and environments.

You will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and humidity. You may also be required to work in high traffic areas, which can be loud and physically demanding.

We offer a competitive salary, based on your location, experience, and qualifications, estimated to be around $60,000 per year. This amount may vary depending on your specific situation.
