Critical Care Fellowship Program

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Critical Care Specialist to join our team at University Health. As an Advanced Practice Provider in Critical Care, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and education to our patients and families.

About the Job:

  • This is a 12-month fellowship program for certified, licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • During your training, you will rotate through medical, surgical-trauma, neuro, cardiothoracic and transplant intensive care units.
  • You will train alongside APPs and physicians to hone your assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills specific to the critically ill.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on critical care management and prevention strategies.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (for Nurse Practitioners) or a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree (for Physician Assistants).
  • Current board certification in area of specialty.
  • Current/unencumbered Texas Nurse Practitioner or Texas Physician Assistant license.

Salary and Benefits:

Our estimated salary range is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
