About the Role

Schagrin Home Comfort Products, a leading provider of home comfort solutions, is seeking a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customers' gas appliances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and repair gas appliances, including fireplaces, tankless and tank water heaters, generators, pool heaters, grills, water conditioning, and outdoor living equipment.
  • Maintain and operate shop equipment and tools, performing quality work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Diagnose problems and repair propane and natural gas appliances.
  • Perform safety and regulatory inspections as required.
  • Install propane gas piping systems, tanks, cylinders, appliances, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and easy-to-read records of all work performed and materials used.
  • Maintain safe work habits and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Suggest additional repairs needed to the appliance manager and/or customer.
  • Supply own hand tools.
  • Stay current with technical changes and product bulletins.
  • Treat customers and co-workers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Represent Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Compliance with Schagrin Home Comfort Products and DOT drug testing policy.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to operate various power tools.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle work environment that is indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position.
