Houseperson Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our team at Courtyard at Kennedy in Titusville, Florida. This part-time position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

• This is a night shift position from 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm, two days a week.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel, including restrooms, floors, windows, and guest rooms.

• Service, clean, or supply restrooms
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Gather and empty trash
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors and steam clean or shampoo carpets
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies
• Remove dirty linens from guest rooms and transport to the laundry room
• Transport clean linens to housekeeping carts and storage closets
• Deliver cribs, rollaways, additional amenities and any other item as requested

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• At least one year working in the hospitality industry
• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations
• Ability to provide excellent guest service and work quickly under pressure
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and transportation to and from work

• Frequent climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying
• Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying
• Environment may result in exposure to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds

$12-$15 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
