Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team at HSL Asset Management LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and physical integrity of our apartments and community facilities, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain the physical condition of the community, identifying and addressing unsafe conditions, broken items, and apartment-related issues.
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the community, including grounds maintenance, trash removal, and storage area management.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on all community areas, equipment, and tools.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of maintenance-related aspects of the community, including utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, sewer cleanouts, and maintenance shops.
  • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including EPA and OSHA guidelines for hazardous materials handling and storage.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience.
  • At least one year of experience in apartment or building maintenance, property maintenance, construction trades, or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for business-related tasks and duties.
  • EPA certification for refrigerant handling preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within 180 days of hire.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate: $17.00 to $21.00/hour (depending on experience).
  • Paid training and on-the-job training opportunities.
  • On-call bonus: $45-$50.
