Critical Care RN Position

At Gift of Hope, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by organ donation. As a Critical Care RN, you will play a vital role in this mission.

About the Role:
This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, coordinating the evaluation, authorization, medical management, surgical recovery, and distribution of organs for transplantation or research from deceased donors. You will work closely with other departments and hospital teams to facilitate the recovery of organs and tissues for transplantation or research.

Responsibilities:
* Advance Gift of Hope's mission, vision, and core values by providing compassionate service and contributing to outstanding teams.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to facilitate the donation process and communicate effectively with donor families.
* Conduct evaluations of potential organ and tissue donors through review of hospital records to determine medical eligibility/suitability.
* Document required clinical information in a clear and concise manner and coordinate the clinical management of deceased organ donors.
* Coordinate medical management of potential donors with anesthesia staff to ensure appropriate hemodynamic status while in the OR.

Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree in healthcare related field (i.e., RN, RT, or other) with a minimum of 1 year experience in a critical care setting. Bachelor's prepared critical care nurse is preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with families of potential donors and present the option of organ and tissue donation.
* Ability to achieve and maintain competency in clinical and technical skills required to facilitate organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $48.11/hour, with opportunities for night shift differential. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance options; generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan; 403(b) retirement plan with company match; Tuition Reimbursement up to the IRS-allowed maximum; and more.
