Position Overview: The Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Healthcare System is in search of a dedicated full-time Psychologist to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Lufkin, TX. This role involves engaging directly with patients to deliver comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct case management and psychological evaluations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Facilitate individual psychotherapy and assessment sessions.
- Provide therapy sessions for families and caregivers experiencing stress.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to treat serious mental health conditions.
Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Opportunities for telework are available.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary range: $106,203 - $196,785.
- Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offering assistance with medical school loan repayment up to $200,000 over a maximum of five years.
