Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - Spine/Ortho Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at i-Health Inc. as a Spine/Ortho Specialist. As a key member of our outpatient orthopedic team, you will assist Physical Therapists in providing therapeutic healthcare services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Prepare and complete detailed daily notes that accurately reflect treatments provided and time spent providing care during appointments.
  • Notify supervising Physical Therapist of any change in patient status or poor tolerance to treatment.
  • Perform timely, effective, and collaborative communication with the primary Physical Therapist.
  • Use and set-up modalities including but not limited to Ultrasound, Laser, Traction, E-stim, Iontophoresis, and MedX, Vaso pneumatic devices, HydroWorx or other provided aquatic therapy equipment.
  • Provide indicated therapeutic massage and other manual therapy treatments as established in the therapy plan of care.
  • Observe patients and evaluate data on patient's progress.
  • Instructs families and/or caregiver on maintenance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an accredited PTA program; or equivalent experience.
  • Currently licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of MN or state in which practicing.
  • Ability to perform PTA duties and provide direct, in-water, 1:1 patient interaction during Aquatic Therapy appointments for half or whole day timeframes.
