Your Career in Pet Grooming

As a Groomer Trainee at PetSmart, you'll have the opportunity to build personal relationships with your clients and become a part of their family. You'll get to know their pets' styles and personalities to create a customized, stylish experience just for them.

Our Training Program

You'll receive comprehensive training in our Grooming Salon, where you'll learn about different dog breeds and styling. You'll start as a bather, helping to get dogs comfortable in our salon and assisting groomers throughout the pet's stay. As you progress, you'll attend our Grooming Academy, where you'll gain insights from experienced trainers and learn to care for different dog breeds. You'll also receive a free tool kit worth over $600 at graduation.

Putting Your Skills to Work

After completing your training, you'll put your new skills to work in our salon, grooming all different breeds and sizes of dogs. You'll work under the leadership and oversight of experienced groomers, ensuring you receive the experience and diversity you need to succeed.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is paid on an hourly basis, with a wage range of $15.00 to $26.00 per hour. You'll also be eligible for benefits, including those described at https://benefits.petsmart.com/us/.
