Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various control systems, including flow meters, electronic scale systems, and machine automation systems.
This is a field-based position that requires travel to various job sites. You will work closely with customers to diagnose and resolve issues related to Kahler equipment. In addition to technical skills, this role requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, VFD, programmable logic controllers, and computer systems. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and repair control systems in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system hardware, software, and operator problems over the phone
- Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and provide training on equipment operation
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of automation systems, electrical and electronic principles, and programming languages
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (up to 70% of the time)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
