At Abode Care Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to residents and patients across various settings. Your expertise will enable us to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and advance our mission.
About the Role:
- Provide complex and geriatric care to residents and patients in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
- Keep high engagement with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
- Collaborate with physician assistants and nurse practitioners to support them in their clinical roles.
- Audit medical orders and documentation for each provider monthly.
- Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or senior living facilities as needed.
- Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participate in company frontline/back-up call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and hold a Doctor of Medicine degree.
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
- Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
