Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As an Electrophysiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in the invasive cardiovascular procedure setting, operating high technology equipment and assisting with multispecialty cardiovascular procedures performed by qualified physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and support image acquisition, image processing, physiologic and/or hemodynamic data acquisition, and simple electrophysiology (EP) or 3D mapping during invasive procedures.
  • Assist physician operators and invasive teams before, during, and after invasive procedures.
  • Provide appropriate care to patients consistent with level of training.
  • Perform activities to support the service and/or departmental operation.
  • Serve, manage, and support internal and external customers.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain the laboratory and/or operating room and equipment; manage supplies first in, first out (FIFO), and support accurate billing for procedures performed.
Requirements
  • BLS (Basic Life Support), American Heart Association (required)
  • One of the following Accredited Certifications (preferred, but required within 6 months of employment): RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), American Heart Association (preferred)
  • High School or GED (required)
  • Associates, Health Sciences or related field (preferred)
  • Clinical patient care experience (required)
  • 1 year of experience or on-the-job training in electrophysiology, aseptic techniques, and cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures (preferred)
