Position Overview
The ideal candidate will act as a key authority with advanced expertise, responsible for overseeing the technical development and content for extensive, intricate projects or several smaller initiatives within the Children's and Women's Health sector. This role involves coordinating efforts across various disciplines to ensure cohesive deliverables and confirming compliance through collaborative teamwork.


Key Responsibilities


1. Direct the critical path process to guide the project team through all technical and production phases from initial pre-design to project completion.

2. Facilitate ongoing collaboration with the Office or Project Quality Leader for comprehensive project support related to Children's and Women's Health clients within the organization.

3. Oversee the integration and development of all technical components and content, translating them into our service instruments.

4. Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish and uphold realistic work and labor plans, ensuring deliverable schedules contribute to financial success and meet contractual obligations.

5. Engage in the Project Risk Assessment process, proactively identifying, communicating, mitigating, and resolving project-related challenges.

6. Mentor Project Architects in developing Project Quality Plans and updates to effectively manage project quality, including milestone reviews and technical charrettes.

7. Review and lead the execution of the documentation strategy for each phase of drawing document deliverables through the Cartooning process.

8. Work closely with the Project Design Lead to align design aspirations with client objectives, project budget, schedule, and team dynamics.

9. Ensure the translation of project design intent through technical documentation and construction phases until project completion.

10. Integrate the project's performance and sustainable design goals into a comprehensive design solution.

11. Continuously monitor project documentation and adherence to contractual obligations.

12. Guide Project Architects in Life Safety, Building, and Energy Code analysis and compliance for the project.

13. Coordinate all disciplines with the architectural design intent.

14. Collaborate with the Model Manager to ensure the quality of model processes, content, and deliverables.

15. Oversee the alignment of contract documentation by working closely with the Project Specification Writer, ensuring coordination with the drawings.

16. Manage all aspects of the Construction Administration phase, including timely responses to RFIs and submittals.

17. Monitor, train, and direct the project team, focusing on technical quality and process standards.

18. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

- A minimum of 12 years of professional experience is necessary, including 5 years in progressively responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional or commercial projects, and at least 3 years in a significant role in construction administration on large projects.

- Current Architectural Registration in the United States is mandatory.

- LEED accreditation is preferred.

- Proven ability to lead large, complex, or multiple projects.

- Strong subject matter expertise and business acumen are essential.

- A demonstrated commitment to quality is required.

- Strong technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and requirements is crucial.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for client-facing interactions.

- Strong coordination skills and the ability to build rapport with the project team and clients are vital.

- Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software is expected.
