Cardiology Inpatient Physician Assistant

Maine Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team in the Department of Cardiac Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality cardiovascular and general medical care to patients admitted to our Cardiology Services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide cardiovascular and general medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Collaborate with staff physicians, nursing and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Act as a liaison between medical and other staff to facilitate effective communication and care coordination.
- Perform routine technical skills, including suturing, phlebotomy, and arterial puncture for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Tailor diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to age-specific standards for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved primary care physician assistant education program.
- Certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Registration with the Maine State Board of Registration in Medicine.
- Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
