Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Shift Manager at Doctors Medical Center of Modesto utilizes the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift. The successful candidate will assure patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess staff need for the unit and collaborate with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patients' needs are met.
- Coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift.
- Ensure patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
Requirements:
- Current California RN license.
- BLS certification.
- TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer.
- Three to five years acute care experience or equivalent.
- RN skills as described for designated unit.
- Managerial Communications preferred.
