The Position

The Regional League Coordinator (RLC) is responsible for overseeing league activities within the designated area. This role focuses on increasing participation in league sports by supporting existing programs and developing new initiatives. The individual will cultivate strong relationships within the community, collaborating with sports facilities, organizations, and volunteers.
  • Recruit and maintain effective communication with team leaders.
  • Collaboratively create schedules and timelines, ensuring alignment with organizational mandates.
  • Work alongside the Adult Leagues Manager to establish a volunteer framework for the region.
  • Facilitate meetings for team leaders at key intervals throughout the year.
  • Act as the Event Director for regional championships.
  • Engage in special projects aimed at boosting league participation, including appreciation events and flexible league options.
  • Collaborate with facility staff to highlight the advantages of league participation.
  • Partner with the Adult Competition Manager to promote opportunities for various age groups.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop local strategies for attracting new participants and retaining current ones.
  • Represent AEG at workshops, events, and meetings.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Adult Leagues Manager.
  • Collaborate with other coordinators on regional events and initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison to the regional council and representatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Customer service expertise and experience in volunteer management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • High energy and enthusiasm for sports.
  • Familiarity with league programs and a background in sports is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Residency in the designated area or nearby is preferred but not essential.
