Job Title: Windows Server Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Server Engineer to join our team at SyllogisTeks. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows Server platforms across a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and patching of systems software and related infrastructure for our Microsoft Windows platform.
  • Supporting Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Domain, and encryption security protocols, including certificate management.
  • Guiding security audits and remediating findings for Windows Server.
  • Supporting other operational tasks as needed to ensure secure and reliable technology platforms.
  • Planning, designing, and supporting Windows Server platforms across a cloud-based environment.
  • Supporting the IT Services and business platform technologist as needed.
  • Participating in technical research and development to enable continued innovation within the infrastructure.
  • Ensuring that operating systems, software systems, and related procedures comply with internal and external standards.

Requirements:

  • Windows server administration for web and applications hosted in multiple cloud-based environments.
  • Solid understanding and experience with one of the following clouds (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services).
  • Enterprise DNS Management and Active Directory, including operating system upgrades and operational activities related to ongoing support of DNS and AD.
  • IIS Administration, inclusive of troubleshooting IIS applications across multiple business platforms.
  • Experience working with domain and SSL certificate management.
  • Ability to interpret security requirements and apply them to infrastructure or software systems.
  • Ability to triage, execute root cause analysis, and be decisive under pressure.
  • Desire to reduce technical inefficiencies and a commitment to reducing toil.
  • Proficient communication skills with an ability to reach both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with incident management and problem management practices and processes is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field and 3-6 years' experience in the qualified areas above.
