The X-Ray Technologist plays a critical role in assisting radiologists and/or physicians with diagnosing and/or treating disease and/or injury. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Protect patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment, taking high-quality images of patients' bodies as requested by physicians.
  • Select the proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis, ensuring accurate and effective imaging.
  • Adjust and set radiographic controls, positioning patients and taking X-rays of specific body parts as needed.
  • Check X-rays for clarity of image, retaking when necessary, and distribute them to the appropriate medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.
  • Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure the X-ray unit meets required standards.
  • Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, determining when repairs are necessary.
  • Maintain radiographic supplies and order as needed.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited X-ray technology program.
  • One to three years of experience as an X-ray technologist, preferably in a medical practice environment.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires mobility, frequent walking, standing, and sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching, and periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires normal (corrected) vision and coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but may vary depending on the Company Schedule.
