Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled RFIC Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our RF team, you will contribute to the advancement of state-of-the-art product innovations and become part of a growing team committed to industry leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Design high-performance RFICs using the latest GaAs or Silicon technologies for leading-edge transmit and receive products and standalone components for test, cable, and next-generation wireless infrastructure markets.
  • Push state-of-the-art designs while applying risk mitigation throughout the design phase.
  • Design and layout RF circuits with high integrity while driving design completion to schedule.
  • Manage and share detailed technical results and proactively support cross-functional groups involved with the product.
  • Use high-frequency lab equipment to execute RFIC design validation and characterization while supporting product engineering through the NPI process.
Qualifications
  • BSEE, MSEE, or PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years of industry experience after PhD, or 10+ years of industry experience after MSEE or BSEE.
  • Expert in GaAs pHEMT/HBT RF circuit design or SiGe BiCOMS/SOI RF circuit design or both.
  • Solid understanding of RF circuit design and the performance metrics such as S-parameters, NF, P1dB, IP3, IMD, stability, and etc.
  • Fluent in RFIC design in ADS or Cadence environments.
  • Familiar with the basics of biasing circuits, hands-on experience in analog circuit design (bandgap, LDO, negative voltage generators, and etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficient in using 2.5-D electromagnetic solver (Momentum or EMX), experience in using 3-D electromagnetic solver (HFSS) is a plus.
  • Strong hands-on experience using RF test equipment and characterizing RF ICs.
  • Must be able to work both independently and together in a team environment.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to details.
  • Good communication, presentation skills, and effective team work.
  • Curious and aspires to overcome design challenges - driven to succeed personality.
Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $153,000 - $215,000. This position is also eligible for bonus pay. Renesas offers a full range of elective benefits, including medical, health savings account, dental, vision, health and/or dependent care flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, life insurance, AD&D, and pet insurance.
