The Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) is a nonprofit organization established in 1972, dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the greater Kansas City, MO area. CDD offers a range of services including residential care, employment assistance, day habilitation for adults, and educational programs for students referred through the Kansas City Missouri area.

Position OverviewThe role involves developing and executing community access initiatives and facilitating individual participation under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Officer.
Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Community Access Team to design engaging, non-fail, self-esteem enhancing activities suitable for all ages, considering individual needs.
- Evaluate Community Access (CA) locations and provide insights to the Program Coordinator and CA Team regarding potential new sites.
- Implement Community Access activities, ensuring active consumer participation and engagement.
- Maintain accurate CA records and documentation in conjunction with other Rainbow Options (RO) programs.
- Adhere to the planned CA schedule, ensuring timely departures.
- At the conclusion of each day, report daily participation units to the Program Coordinator, including names of individuals who attended and their attendance times.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance by submitting Job Orders as necessary.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, including the proper storage of materials and equipment.
- Complete a daily vehicle inspection checklist.
- Work alongside a 1:1 program assistant to create tailored CA opportunities for individual clients.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and CA Team meetings at Rainbow Options.
- Prepare for CA Team meetings by bringing the upcoming week's activity schedule and client participation list.
- Act as a positive representative for the Rainbow Center and Rainbow Options program to staff, clients, families, and the broader community.
- Comply with policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook and policies & procedures manual.
- Maintain all required licenses and certifications.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail.
