Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Support Specialist to join our team at ABS Kids. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing behavior support plans, teaching essential life skills, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Compensation and Benefits
  • $22.00 - $24.50 per hour, depending on experience
  • Premium pay of $2.00 per hour for afternoon shifts in the home setting, starting at 3 pm
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including RBT certification and paid training
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team
  2. Provide direct support to children with autism spectrum disorder, focusing on teaching essential life skills and promoting behavioral growth
  3. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure seamless transitions and consistent support
  4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress, as required
Requirements
  • Paid prior experience working with children, preferably in ABA or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with willingness to work varying schedules and environments
