Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team at Merz North America. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing technical and engineering work as directed by the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate software using automated or manual testing methods and analyze results.
  • Create testing procedures to evaluate software performance.
  • Build software testing programs that automate testing processes.
  • Run software testing procedures to evaluate software.
  • Document all testing procedures according to department standards and SOPs.
  • Report bugs and make recommendations to improve software product.
  • Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure proper functionality.
  • Attend meetings with development team, stakeholders, and other groups.
  • Perform software testing against requirements on medical device and emulator.
  • Perform software unit testing for software test tools.
  • Perform code analysis, profiling, and debugging on software tools used for testing of host application.
Requirements
  • Provide input to software requirements for host application and software tools.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient with development tools used with C++/C, and C#: Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Ability to foster innovation in software testing.
  • Proficient with Windows 10 Operating System.
  • Proficient with using Atlassian Jira and BitBucket.
  • Proficient with developing software test protocol documentation and test results capture for medical device.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge on B-Mode Ultrasound.
  • Design experience with real-time systems, state machines, and standard Windows applications.
  • Knowledge of FDA cybersecurity requirements, NIST, GDPR, EU ENISA.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • 6+ years of software testing and automation for medical device.
