Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to join our highly skilled and dedicated cardiac surgery and structural heart team.

We are looking for a surgeon with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a wide range of cardiothoracic procedures, including coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic surgery, valvular repair and replacement, atrial fibrillation/left atrial appendage management, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

• Perform a wide array of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including treating patients with adult acquired and congenital cardiac disease.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary care team.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of advanced practitioners, physicians, and other members of the healthcare delivery team to provide outstanding comprehensive care.

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine graduate from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited general surgery residency followed by a residency in cardiothoracic surgery OR an accredited integrated general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery residency.
• Candidates must be board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
