Job Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual housekeeping tasks, including cleaning offices, breakrooms, and other areas of the facility.
  • Operate industrial floor equipment, such as mops and buffers, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with special projects, such as deep cleaning and event preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in janitorial or facilities maintenance.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs.
  • Formal/technical education in a related field.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and work off of platforms.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
