We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oncology Nurse Educator to join our team at BJC HealthCare.

  • This is a salaried-exempt position with an estimated annual salary of $85,000-$110,000 based on experience.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on oncology and education. As a mentor and educator, you will work closely with new graduate nurses to develop their clinical competencies and decision-making skills.

You will establish relaxed and supportive relationships conducive to dialogue and learning, using various communication techniques to support ongoing education and skill development.

The role requires facilitation of individual and team development, helping team members build skills and competencies, and promoting interprofessional education and practice.

In this position, you will enhance retention by providing new nurses with the necessary skills, confidence, and knowledge to navigate through the healthcare system.

As a seasoned nurse educator, you will also provide consultation and second opinions to assist with clinical decision-making, including managing patients whose condition may be deteriorating in the ICU or who may require transfer to a higher level of care.

Responsibilities:
