Job Overview

As an Automotive Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for restoring the exterior of vehicles to their original condition, ensuring adherence to quality standards set by the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize all body shop tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner.
  • Remove corrosion and contaminants from surfaces prior to repair.
  • Protect areas not intended for painting through proper masking techniques.
  • Apply fillers to imperfections to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Prepare paint mixtures according to established specifications.
  • Select and blend coatings to achieve the desired color match.
  • Employ appropriate techniques for applying paint using spray equipment or brushes.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of painted surfaces to ensure high-quality workmanship, identifying any imperfections.
  • Apply protective wax coatings after quality assurance checks.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and functional state.
  • Ensure a tidy work environment at all times.
  • Wear all mandated personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to all regulations concerning hazardous materials and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Collaborate with team members in vehicle repair and preparation tasks.
  • Stay informed about and comply with local, state, and federal regulations affecting body shop operations.
