UT Health Science Center is looking for an Acute Care Physician Assistant to become a vital member of their team at the UT Ob/Gyn Women's Center. This role is essential in delivering advanced medical services to patients facing intricate health challenges under the supervision of a physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute intricate patient care procedures
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive patient care plans
- Assist in gathering detailed patient histories
- Administer medications and analyze diagnostic test results
- Promote patient education and understanding
- Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary documentation
- Respond effectively to emergency situations
- Operate within the defined scope of practice
- Valid Texas Licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with medical and surgical instruments
Education and Experience:
- A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is mandatory
- Prior clinical experience in a relevant focus is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to exert force to move objects as needed
