About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at The Physicians Spine & Rehabilitation Specialists. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and administrative staff in delivering exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not necessary.

Our ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about medical terminology and procedures, with a strong understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems. They will also possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escorting patients to exam rooms in a timely and efficient manner
  • Taking and recording vital signs and medical histories
  • Assisting physicians during examinations as directed
  • Preparing and ordering prescriptions as requested by physicians
  • Utilizing EHR for documentation purposes
  • Scheduling appointments, tests, procedures, and/or surgery following all scheduling protocols
  • Responding to clinical phone calls

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months medical office experience (preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited MA Program (desired)
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and customer service skills

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
