Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery to join our team at Reston Hospital Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role

This is a rotating position that requires flexibility and a strong work ethic. We prefer candidates with at least 1 year of current labor and delivery experience. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating care for patients in labor and delivery. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong clinical judgment and competent nursing skills, as well as effectively document patient information.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment start date
